Bob and Carol Head Local Scholarship Campaign has been funding for more than a decade to local students by awarding them with scholarships and giving each individual an opportunity to learn, grow, and excel in education. With help of local communities, the program will continue to grow the impact of student scholarships in Fannin, Gilmer, Rabun, Towns, and Union counties in Georgia, and Cherokee and Clay counties in North Carolina.
Clay County Community for Students, Inc. is a nonprofit organization and partnered with Hayesville Elementary and Middle Schools providing tutor programs to local students including English, reading, and math. In addition, they provide the basic school supplies needed to function in the school setting.
Towns County Food Pantry is a ministry of the Towns County Cooperative Ministries; a non-profit organization that has been supporting families since 2008. This organization was found by David Mullins and Jim Hicks to help feed those families or individuals with lack of resources to obtain it alone. The goal is to reach every household in Towns County who are in need of serious assistance and to provide them with healthy and nutritionally wholesome food.
