Union County is a community that sits in northeast Georgia, at the southern part of the popular Blue Ridge Mountains. With an altitude of over 3,000 ft, this neighborhood thrives in cool temperatures and clean mountain air. This town is Georgia’s eighty-third county, which comprises 323 square miles. The history of its name, “Union,” traces back to a former state representative of the area, John Thomas.
Aside from the mountain hills, the area is also surrounded by different bodies of water. Some of them are Lake Trahylta, Caldwell Lake, Lake Woodruff, Morton Lake, Lake Winfield Scott, Nottely Lake, and Woody Lake. There’s no doubt that Clay County displays some of nature’s best attractions.
